Our tamariki with great excitement wait for the day once or twice a week when we take them around the block for walk. Today we turned our walk to collecting rubbish around the footpath. The tamariki did not hesitate to collect rubbish but made it into a game, “who can spot the rubbish?”

We were careful not to touch any sharp objects. Young children are naturally curious and want to learn, so we need to get in early if we want to instil in them a love for nature.
