We were unable to go to the forest this week because the weather did not permit, so we decided to take some tamariki to our front yard to give them opportunity to collect resources that is available there.
They got busy indeed sharing their ideas and thoughts creating their masterpiece.
Tamariki being creative and imaginative, generating and modifying working theories. They are displaying an understanding that trying things out, exploring and playing with ideas, materials and collaborating with others are important and valued ways of learning.
One tamariki shared his knowledge on honey bees, talking about how bees takes pollen from the flowers and makes honey. What a learning opportunity for other children as this interest of one child triggered wider interest among other tamariki.
