The time of Diwali is one of the most festive and beautiful times of the year for Indian community . Diwali is also known as the festival of lights It is a time filled with lights and love, a time when Indians all over the world rejoice. It is the darkest night of the year yet it is a celebration of light.

This entire week children were very busy doing Diwali art work (Rangoli), making sweets, learning Hindi songs and making clay lamps (diyas).
We celebrated Diwali on Friday the 25th in a grand way.

Parents/Whanau were invited for lunch and thank you to all our parents who came to be part of this celebration. Henna painting was also one of the high lights of the day.
Thanks to some of our parent helpers who helped in preparing yummy Indian food.We all enjoyed the delicious Indian spread.

The children did an amazing performance singing and dancing on Indian songs. It was pleasure for all of us to be a part of this Diwali celebrations.
