This week we took children on a walk to the Owairaka Summit . We are so lucky to have the Mt Albert summit on our door step. Walking to the mountain was filled with lots of conversations building around what we could see along the way, aware of different signs and being safe on our way. on the walk children walk through the forest looking for the treasures to take back to the centre. Tamariki found lots of natural resources such as pine cones, ferns and leaves. Also running around and just being in nature made the trip so worthwhile.

by letting Tamariki discover for themselves, questions emerge that we would never imagine. “Nature” became another teacher. We would like to provide this opportunity to our Tamariki every week and share children’s inquiry, exploration and adventure in Nature.
