One-uku was out in the deck area for the tamariki to have unhurried exploration and fun with it. we often seen tamariki enjoying messy play especially exploring with paint and spent hours in the sandpit. Today was no different when tamariki decided to explore with one-uku. Tamariki grabbed a piece of clay and started pinching, poking and rolling it. some of the tamariki made vase, hand bags, cup cakes and balls.
while choosing to play with clay, Tamariki showed appreciation towards papatuanuku- mother earth. One-uku helped tamariki develop the small muscles in their fingers and hands, as they pinched, squeezed, rolled and prod the clay, adding details to the shapes.
kai pai Tamariki ma:)
